August Empties!

Thursday, August 30, 2012

Hola bloggers! Today I thought i would do an August empties to wrap up this lovely month. These are the things that I've used up this month with a little review of each product. Enjoy!
(Sorry for the awful quality photo, my camera's gone walkabouts and i had to use my iPhone. Oh first word problems.)

Witch blemish stick - This product is a staple of mine that I've repurchased many times. It's great for when i have a small breakout and it clears those nasty sore spots quickly and calmly. What more could you ask for?

Garnier Fresh Essentials Eye Make-Up Remover with Grape - This is something i stumbled across when i was doing my weekly browse around Boots (what? i don't do that...). I thought i'd give it a go, and i have to say, i really liked it! The product description pretty much sums it up, it's a grape water that removes eye make-up. As i suffer from very bad hayfever my eyes are very sensitive and i have to be careful with products around my eyes, but this one was lovely, it felt just like water, no stinging and it's got a light refreshing fragrance. Also, who could complain at the price of £3.15? Well done, Garnier, well done.

Soltan Aftersun - Confession time; i haven't actually finished this product. I'm well on my way though, and as I've already had my summer holiday (and probably all the time i'm going to get in the sun this year) i thought i'd include it. I cannot give this lotion enough praise! I used it every day after being out in the sun, and not only did it make my skin feel like a baby's bottom, it brought out my tan, too! Very happy bunny. I adore the smell as well, nothing beats the smell of sun tan lotions!

Imperial Leather Limited Edition Shower Gel - Unfortunately i don't have a link to this, but i'm sure if you scour your local Boots you'll be able to find it. My mum actually got this shower gel for me, and she obviously knows me very well! I'm very partial to Imperial Leather, and things that smell fruity, so this was the perfect combination. The JoJoba Pearls in it were great as they helped to exfoliate my skin, and the lovely smell lingered on my skin for a good few hours. I will definitely be looking out for this on my next shop!

Neutrogena Concentrated Unscented Hand Cream - This is another staple of mine, but not something i've had to repurchase more than twice as it lasts such a long time! As somebody with very dry hands, I use this hand cream at night before bed, and then again in the morning when I've finished getting ready. (I also have a mini one in my bag for midday top up's!) A little really does go a long way, and it's not sticky or greasy either. If i ever find anything better that's not ten times the price, i'll be sure to let you know!

Garnier Caffeine Anti-dark Circles Roll-on - Hmm, this is a tricky one. I do like this product, but i'm not amazed by it. The roller ball is very cooling and it does feel nice to apply, although i do feel a little too much product comes out with one sweep. One major issue i had was finding a shade that matched my skin. There is only three shades to choose from (fair, medium and dark), and i am somewhere between fair and medium. That's not too much of a problem though as i can blend it with my other make-up. The concealer is very light in feeling, and it did give pretty good coverage, but nothing to rave about. For over £10, it could have been better. I'd say give it a go though, as concealers can range vastly from person to person.

Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips - Wow oh wow Vaseline, you've done it again. - First aid for lips! I'm one of those girls that will always have a tin of Vaseline in her bag, and aside from the Cocoa Butter one, this Rosy Lips tin is shaping up to be a real favorite! Not only does it have a gorgeous smell, but it's tinted pink, so you get a lovely natural burst of color too! I can't fault Vaseline, 10/10.

Avon SuperMagnify Mascara - Last but not least, mascara. Personally, i liked this mascara, i have quite thin eyelashes, so big clumpy brushes aren't ideal for me. This brush however is long and thin with very tiny bristles - perfect for someone like me. The mascara hasn't clumped on the brush or on my lashes, and it was very smudge free and long lasting. The only problem i had is that i had to apply 2-4 coats before it was noticeable, but overall i really enjoyed this mascara.

There you have it, my August empties. I hope you enjoyed it, and keep looking out for new posts! Have a wonderful day, and here's the song i'm listening to at the moment. Enjoy!
