Christmas all wrapped up...

A few of the gifts I'm giving this year
Hello! This week has been a busy one for me so far; I've been completely swept up in the whirlwind that is Christmas. The tree went up at the weekend, I did last minute shopping on Monday, I've been writing a seemingly endless food shopping list of everything we need for the week, and today was completely filled with wrapping up presents.
Wrapping is something I usually leave until Christmas Eve, but since I have quite a few things to bake on Monday, I decided not to put myself under so much pressure and do it today instead. - I want to be able to enjoy Christmas!

I'm one of those people that actually enjoys wrapping presents, so I tend to go a bit overboard each year. Last year I was all about ribbon and tissue paper, but this year I decided to go green and recycle.
I've used a mixture of old maps that my Dad gave me, newspapers from my Grandad, Eco friendly brown paper, and some wrapping paper and ribbons I saved from a few years ago. I also found some lovely printable labels here, so wrapping this year has hardly cost me a penny which is nice! (Although I did buy the candy canes and cinnamon sticks...)

I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year, my cousins are coming over from the Isle of Man, my friend is home from Uni for a month, and I get to spend Boxing day with them all... Plus food.

Are you someone that enjoys wrapping presents, or do you just do it quickly to get it out of the way?

Have a lovely evening!

  5. I've never been a huge Christmas present wrapper, mainly because I was really bad. I would just resort to bags and bows. But somehow my feminine touch came into play and I was able to successful wrap each present perfectly. Yay! The best is when you sit down in front of a good Christmas movie while doing all your wrapping. Love this ;)
