Topshop 'Crescent Moon' highlighter review
Wednesday, December 05, 2012Topshop 'Crescent Moon' Highlighter |
When I was painfully draining my debit card in Manchester a couple of weeks ago (it's a hard life), I decided to pick up one of Topshop's highlighters after reading great reviews about them online. I've been really impressed with all the Topshop make up I've purchased in the past, and this highlighter is definitely not an exception.
Topshop have two highlighters in pretty packaging available at £10 each; One called Sunbeam, which I would personally say is more of a summer product, as it has quite a golden glow, and one called Crescent Moon, which is the one I decided to buy. Crescent Moon seemed more appropriate for my skin tone right now as I get very pale in the colder months, and the product has more of a pearly tone to it rather than coming off as a bronzer.
I was a bit worried this highlighter might look a bit odd considering how white and shimmery it looked at first glance, but I definitely had nothing to worry about. When I apply it, it blends so nicely and gives my skin a really healthy looking glow rather than washing me out, or making me look like Edward Cullen in the sunlight...Not really a look I was aiming for. As a side note, one thing I really noticed about this highlighter is that it looks great in pictures, so if you have any photo ops coming up, bear that in mind!
Overall, I really like this product and would definitely recommend having a look if you're on the hunt for a highlighter. The packaging is cute (although I wish Topshop had included a mirror like they do in their blushes), the price isn't too hefty, and I think it's going to last me a good while. I'll definitely be picking up Sunbeam in the Summer when I have more colour in my cheeks!
Have you tried either of Topshop's highlighters? Do you want to?
