DIY Sugar Crush Body Scrub

Tuesday, January 15, 2013

If you've been reading my Blog for a while now, you probably already know that I'm a big fan of the Soap & Glory products - Especially their scrubs. Because I enjoy DIY so much, I thought I'd have a go at making my own Sugar Crush inspired scrub to see how it compared to a shop bought one. The finished product turned out great and hardly cost much at all, so I thought I'd show you how I made it so you can have a go yourself!
 You will need:
 1 Cup of brown sugar
 The juice of 1 lime
1 1/2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil
 A jar or container
Step 1: In a bowl or jug, mix the sugar together with the juice of one lime. (You can use bottled lime juice if you'd prefer that).
♥ Step 2: Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of Sweet almond oil (You can get it here). You might want to add more or less depending on what consistency you prefer.
♥ Step 3: Spoon the mixture into a jar or container of your choice. I got this cute little jar for 99p in a local charity shop.
♥ Step 4: Enjoy your sugar scrub!

This jar will last me about 2 weeks, and is just as nice each time I use it. Although I'll probably always repurchase Soap & Glory's scrubs, it's nice to be able to make my own sometimes, especially as I already had all of the ingredients on hand! It smells gorgeous, it makes your skin feel amazing, and it's all organic. Bonus.

I hope you're having a lovely day. Let me know if you're going to give this a go!
