MUA 12 Shade Heaven and Earth Palette

Wednesday, January 16, 2013

I've been on the seemingly never ending hunt for a neutrals palette for a while now; I was after something that will be great quality, with a good range of shades, all without breaking the bank. - Enter MUA. I came across this Heaven and Earth palette by accident when I was on the hunt for a dark nail polish, (no surprises there), and at only £4 I bought it on a 'sure, why not?' whim...

The (slightly dusty) Heaven and Earth palette
The colours in this palette are all equally gorgeous and very wearable; I'm not all that adventurous when it comes to my eye make-up, I tend to go for a natural look, winged eyeliner or a smoky eye, so these shades are great for me! I'm also not the biggest fan of extremely glittery eye shadow, so the fact that these colours only have a slight shimmer to them is a big bonus.

Considering the palette was only £4, my first thought was that the eye shadow wouldn't be very pigmented or long wearing, but I couldn't have been more wrong! The pigmentation is amazing, my eye makeup lasts all day, and they're so easy to work with and to blend, which is great for creating a smoky eye look.

Lesson learned that buying a higher end, expensive product doesn't necessarily mean better quality! I'm really impressed with this palette, and I'll definitely picking up the 'Undressed' one when I'm next in Superdrug. I've also heard great things about the MUA eye shadow primer so I think I'll be giving that a go too!

Have you tried any MUA products? Would you like to?

Hope you're having a great day, and be sure to follow my new Twitter @leanneblogs for little day to day updates!

  11. I've got the Undressed palette, the dupe of Urban Decay Naked and I LOVE it. The shadows are so pigmented and stay on just fine! I'd love to try the Heaven & Earth palette. Just wanted to let you know also that when you reply to comments via the thread, readers don't get any notification. You may already know that but I thought I'd give you a heads up in case, hehe :)

  14. A really nice palette, very wearable colors indeed! I often (always:)) buy eye shadows that don't cost a fortune - with primer they all look like they're from Dior.:)
