Soap & Glory - The Fab Pore Facial Peel

The fab pore facial peel - (Available at most Boots stores for £8) |
I'm sure you all know the deal by now, Soap & Glory products and I get on wonderfully... My t-zone and I however do not! I'm really lucky in the respect that I don't get that many spots or blemishes (touch wood), but I do have quite open pores around my nose area which can often get clogged and unsightly, which is never very nice!
I've tried a few pore products in the past, but the concept of a facial peel is quite new to me, so I was really excited to give this product a go! Considering my nose area is quite bad, I applied the peel -which has a thick cream consistency to it - all around my t-zone, making sure that all of the little green beads had dissolved, and left it on for 15 minutes while I was painting my nails. (You can leave it on for a shorter or longer amount of time if you prefer).
When I washed it off with a clean flannel and hot water my t-zone definitely felt and looked noticeably clearer and brighter, although there wasn't an amazing difference the first time I used it. - Persistent use has definitely made a difference for me! Obviously everyone's skin is completely different and it will work differently depending on the person, but if you want a cheap and cheerful Facial Peel to try out I definitely recommend giving the Soap & Glory one a go!
Have you tried a facial peel before? Let me know if you know any great products for open pores, I'm yet to find my star product!

DeleteThanks for the review! I'm the same in that I dont get lots of blemishes but I do have open pores which isnt a nice look! I just did a post on a soap and glory product too! ( http://www.cherrytruth2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/amazing-soap-and-glory-flake-away.html ) have you used the flake away exfoliator? I love it! I want to try out more of the soap and glory products and I always go over to the 'stand' but I never buy anything because I find it a little overwheming and Im also never looking for a particular product so I feel like I want to wait till I really need something! anyways good review! very helpful! As far as products I use to help my pores I use the Lush face mask in oatmeal (http://www.cherrytruth2.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/amazing-lush-face-mask.html) and I fine after I use it my pores are reduced and my face is softer so maybe look into the lush face masks? they do a lot of different variations for specific skin types! The only trouble with the lush facemask is that they dont last a long time! libby xx

Flake away is great! If you like that you should definitely try out Breakfast scrub and The Sugar crush body scrub! Lush masks tend to dry my face out a little bit unfortunately, but thank you so much for your lovely comment Libby :) xxx
DeleteI love soap and glory products, they have a cleanser/ mask one that comes with a muslin cloth which I thought was great, you've probably seen it already though! I use a No.7 exfoliater which then heats up as a masque which is great for oily skin :) I'll have to check this product out!great blog x http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Beautiful-Skin-Purifing-Mask_1245042/
ReplyDeleteI'll have to have a look into the No7 one! Thanks so much lovely xx

Hi Annabelle, unfortunately they don't do a sample sized pot. It would be great if they did though, I had to take a bit of a risk on this one! xx

Me too! xx
DeleteI have been silently stalking this product for months, but have just never cashed in for one reason or another. I'll definitely be revisiting my Amazon wishlist momentarily... Btw, I have enlarged pores on my cheeks, and have been using the Ole Henriksen walnut complexion scrub to some avail. It's not a miracle worker, but then again, I haven't been using it all that regularly. In terms of masks, I love the Clear Improvement from Origins for short-term results. x

Ooh I've never heard of that scrub before! Thanks for sharing xx
ReplyDeleteOkay i'm beginning to envy the UK beauties who have this 'boots' place!! ;) however a pore peel sounds fantastic! Especially on my dry winder skin, lovely post. xx

Haha! I can't imagine life without Boots! Thanks lovely xx
DeleteYour blog is wonderful! I really must come on here more often! :) I'd never heard of this product before. Does this work with blackheads as well? I get them on my nose and they never seem to budge no matter what I try!
ReplyDeletemermaidhairandtoomuchmakeup.blogspot.co.uk
xx
Thank you Emily! To be honest, not really. I have a few really stubborn blackheads on my nose too and not even this managed to shift them. I would definitely recommend the Origins Clear Improvement mask though (http://www.origins.co.uk/product/3857/11588/Skincare/Category/Masks/Clear-Improvement/Active-charcoal-mask-to-clear-pores/index.tmpl), that seems to be the only thing that helps my blackheads! Boots Botanics do a great little face exfoliation brush too that I use alongside Neutrogena's face washes which Is a bit of a cheaper alternative. :) Good luck! xx
DeleteThank you for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it so much!
