Origins Super Spot Remover - Review

Origins Super Spot Remover £13
Afternoon! I'm a little late to the party on this one considering there was a huge hype about this product in the Blogging world last year. I heard mixed reviews about the Origins Super Spot remover, and considering I rarely get spots and have combination skin, I didn't rush to the shops to buy it.
Recently though, for whatever reason I've been getting the odd spot here and there; especially around my nose area and on my forehead, so I decided to give it a try.

First of all, I love the packaging! The bottle is so cute and a perfect make up bag size, so it's easy to carry around with me on a day to day basis.
The product itself has a cooling gel formula which makes it easy to apply to the spot and surrounding area, and is also really fast drying which is convenient. I know that a lot of people wear their make-up over this product, but I find that because it dries as a sort of film it can become quite drying to apply foundation over. I feel like it's easier (personally) to apply at night to let it work its magic while I'm asleep, but I do use it during the day too on those really stubborn break outs!

When I apply the spot remover, which contains Salicylic Acid  to 'Instantly help speed healing while anti-spot technology' and  Skin-calming Caffeine and Red Algae to 'Help visibly relieve irritating redness', it definitely feels like it's doing something good for my skin straight away. The gel is very soothing to begin with, and when the product dries it feels quite tight, which is a quality I like in spot removers as I feel like it's doing something good to remove the blemish. The spot treatment also contains super exfoliators eliminate excess oils and pore-clogging debris, which 'helps to keep your skin looking spotless', which I definitely think it does.

I usually apply the treatment when I first notice a spot appearing, and carry on using it frequently to prevent it from breaking out. - I usually notice a significant difference within a minimum of 2 days, and the spot will either be gone completely or extremely reduced, which is great!
I really like this product, and I can see the bottle lasting for a very long time, even with frequent use.

Have you tried this spot treatment? Would you like to?

  2. I've never tried Origins but I've always heard great things about it. I too, never really break out but for some reason these past few months have been unbearable. This seems like a great time to buy my first Origins product. Hope it helps. :/

  6. I got this product a few months ago and wouldn't give up using it for ages because I was convinced from reviews it would work, but it did literally nothing for me! Strange but I guess everyone's skin reacts in different ways.

  7. For £13 this sounds amazing I suffer terribly from spots especially around my chin area and really looking for a new formula so super happy you posted this review as I will be buying this asap. I have currently been using Clinique and that is £13 also and you do not get as much but I feel my skin adapts to products making them no longer work so will really need to try this out :) x
