February Favourites

Tuesday, March 05, 2013

Afternoon! I'm a bit late on this post considering we're already almost a week into March (oops), but I thought I'd do a February Favourites anyway and show you what I've been loving in the past month! I'm still considerably exhausted from my trip to Manchester at the weekend so my day has been pretty uneventful so far. I'm also feeling a bit miffed to be home, so I'm already looking forward to going away again in May! ...Too soon?

Garnier Simply Essentials Eye Makeup Remover - This eye makeup remover has been so handy for me this month, as I have really sensitive eyes and can never find a product gentle enough for them. Problem solved with this stuff; it's such a nice refreshing formula with absolutely no stinging or irritation. If it didn't remove my makeup so well I'd swear it was bottled water!

Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub - This lip scrub is lovely. First off it smells like popcorn which is pretty cool anyway, but it leaves my lips really soft and moisturised too. You also get to lick it off when you're done!

Toni & Guy Sea Salt Spray - I've been wearing my hair straight quite a lot this month, but I have quite soft and flat hair which means that I end up with a poker straight look which I don't really like. This sea salt spray is great for adding dimension and texture to my hair without leaving it sticky or greasy. It also has a lovely fresh beach smell which reminds me of summer!

Essie Mint Candy Apple - I can't rave about this nail polish enough. I've been after it for a while, and now that I have it I just know that I'll be wearing it all the time! The formula is amazing, it's long wearing, and the colour is gorgeous. It's the perfect Spring/Summer polish!

Real Techniques Stippling Brush - I've had this brush for a while now but it's only really in the past month that I've been using it persistently. I'm loving it! (See my full review here).

MUA Heaven and Earth Palette - I'm not all that adventurous with my eye makeup so this is such a nice neutrals palette for me. The price is ridiculously low so I was a bit dubious on the quality, but the pigmentation and lasting power is great! I definitely recommend MUA if you're on the hunt for a palette.

Origins Checks & Balances Face Wash - I think I may have found my holy grail face wash! I got a sample of this last November and I loved it so much that I decided to finally purchase the full sized tube. I use this in the morning to wake myself up as it has a fresh minty smell, which is a real pick-me-up when I'm half asleep. It's a bit pricey at £17, but a little goes a really long way so it's definitely worth it in my eyes!

Topshop Moonbeam Highlighter - Love, love, love this highlighter! It's definitely one for the colder months as it's fairly pale, but it really adds a lovely pearly glow to my face and isn't overly glittery which I really like. I'm definitely going to pick sunbeam up when I'm a bit more tanned in the Summer!

17 Lipstick in Blondie - I'm usually a dark lipstick kinda girl, but I recently rediscovered this nude/pinky lipstick in my drawer and I've been wearing it quite a lot! It's quite a natural colour and has a creamy formula, so it's great for lazy days. It's not overly long wearing, but I don't really mind re-applying it all that much.

Origins Super Spot Remover - My skin has been a bit of a bugger for some reason this month. I've had a pretty bumpy forehead and have had the odd spot pop up here and there quite a lot. This spot remover has been a savior for me as any spots I get can take up to a month or more to completely clear up, and I think it's definitely helped to reduce scarring and redness. Thanks Origins!

  4. After reading you review on Origins I decided to stop by for some samples last week and I believe I got one of that moisturizer so I'm excited to use it. I have been seeing MUA around blogland lately and am thinking of giving it a go sometime. That Essie color looks so pretty. I am hoping to shop Spring colors later this week and will take a look. I also recently picked up Bubblegum Lip Scrub and LOVE it. Its silly but I find it quite fun to scrub and lick it off. So nummy. Great favorites. Thanks for sharing. :)

  9. May I just say what a cοmfoгt to diѕсover someone who genuinely undеrstands
what they're talking about on the internet. You certainly realize how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people ought to read this and understand this side of your story. I was surprised that you're not more popular given that you certainly hаve the gift.
