Mini Fragrance Direct Haul

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Good afternoon! Last week I was having a browse on Fragrance Direct, which is a website that I often turn to when I'm looking for a bit of a bargain when it comes to anything beauty related. To my luck they happened to be in the middle of a clearance sale to end all clearance sales, so naturally I had to buy a few things...

Calvin Klein Lipstick in 'Henna' & Dainty Doll Lipstick in 'Storm In A Teacup'
The first things I added to my basket were these two lovely lipsticks. I don't really own that many nude or pink shades as I usually prefer darker colours, but I've been going through a bit of a neutrals phase lately and fell in love with these pretty shades. - Not to mention their £1.99 each price tags!
The Calvin Klein lipstick is very pigmented, long lasting and a very pretty colour. I'm not a huge fan of the plastic packaging and it does have a bit of a waxy smell, but it's by no means a bad lipstick and I'll definitely get a lot of use out of it!
Dainty Doll is the makeup range that Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud created for those girls with paler skin, and I absolutely love the packaging. Not only that, but the lipstick itself is so lovely and feels very high end. I really like the colour as it has a slightly darker tint to it which is an ideal daytime shade for me, and the formula is really smooth and buildable for a more opaque look.

Essie Nail Polish in 'Neo Whimsical' & Dainty Doll Eyeliner in 'I'm So Pretty'
The next things I purchased were this Essie nail polish and Dainty Doll Eyeliner, which were also reduced to £1.99 each. I'm a big fan of Essie colours, so when I saw that they were reduced so much it made me very happy! I got the shade Neo Whimsical which is very fitting with the neutrals thing I've got going on. I usually don't suit light polishes very much, but this pretty light pink almost lilac-y shade is one that I think would suit just about everybody. It's quickly becoming my go-to polish when I don't want anything too noticeable on my nails!
I'm yet to try the Dainty Doll eyeliner (shade 'I'm So Pretty'), but if the quality as anywhere near as good as the lipstick I'm sure I'll get on fine with it.

At full price all of these products would have come to £44.49, but my order only came to £8.95 including P+P, which I'm incredibly pleased with. There are still a lot of these things available, so pop over to Fragrance Direct here if you're looking for a bit of a bargain!
