What's In My Bag | Spring Edition!
Saturday, April 27, 2013
When the seasons change I always make an attempt to change the contents of my bag alongside the weather. Of course now that I've done that, the temperature has dropped down to 10° again and I'm back to wearing a jacket. Typical or what?...
My Bag and Purse
Not that you can see much of it in this picture (there's a better view of it here!), but my bag is a bit of a bargain buy from H&M. I really wanted a lighter coloured one for spring & summer, and at £14.99 it was cheap as chips! If chips cost £14.99 that is.
My purse was from Accessorize a few months ago, but I'm pretty sure they still do it! It comes in a few other colours too which is nice.
Sunglasses
I'd been umm-ing and ahh-ing about whether to get cat eye sunglasses for a while when I got these. However after coming to the conclusion that they just wouldn't suit me, I went for some that are a bit half and half. I've been wearing them a lot since I bought them (although admittedly they've been on my head more often than not due to a lack of sunshine), so they were definitely worth the reasonable price of £12 at Debenhams!
The Bits and Bobs
I'm renowned for carrying everything but the kitchen sink around with me (and then complaining about having shoulder ache), so recently I've been trying to carry just 'necessities' around with me. Other than things like hand sanitiser and tissues - which I didn't think were quite interesting enough to include - I'm trying to keep the extras I bring to a max of 10 things. Emphasis on the trying...
Coco Mademoiselle - Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle is my all time favourite perfume, and it's such a perfect scent for Spring and Summer time. I tend to carry the 35ml around with me for top ups during the day as the bottle isn't too heavy or bulky! (Review here).
Origins Peace Of Mind On-The-Spot Relief - This little bottle is a life saver for me in the warm weather. I'm pretty prone to headaches as it is, so when I get all hot and flustered I tend to get them a lot. The On-The-Spot Relief works a lot quicker than paracetamol for me personally, and it's perfect for calming me down when I'm feeling oh-so-stressed.
Revlon Lip Butter - I'm going through a big corals stage lately, so the new Revlon Lip Butter shade in Juicy Papaya is perfect for me. I'ts not too orange or too bright, so it's great for those days where I don't want too much make up on. Aka, most days.
Toni & Guy Salt Spray - From the ages of about 14-16 I went through a phase of not being able to leave the house without making sure my hair was poker straight, and then worrying about it going frizzy all day. Long gone are those days thank goodness, and an absolute staple in my (slightly lacking) hair routine now is a salt spray. The one by Toni & Guy has been my favourite that I've tried to date, and I always make sure I have it on me for little top ups. It doesn't leave my hair sticky or greasy, and it lasts a good while too.
I've also been keeping my H&M hair band in my bag too for when I get annoyed with hair in my eyes!
I'm going to go and have a bit of a spring clean in my bedroom now, although it will definitely turn into me finding things under the bed that I've forgotten I own and getting distracted...
Have a lovely Sunday!
