Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins | Review

Thursday, May 16, 2013

Afternoon! In my April favourites post I briefly mentioned the Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins night cream, and I think that it's about time I did a full review on it!
This cream has been a solid favourite in my skincare routine for a good few months now and I'm still loving as much as I did when I got it (which is saying something considering how quickly I get bored!).
I use this cream about 4 nights a week, and then my Drink Up Intensive Mask the other 3, depending on how much of a boost my skin needs.

High-Potency Night-A-Mins £33
When I first found out about this cream I realised that there is an oil-free version and a regular version available. Being that I have combination skin (quite dry everywhere, but a troublesome T-Zone) I wasn't sure which to opt for, but eventually settled on the regular one. I'm glad I did as I'm not sure the oil-free one would be quite effective enough on my skin, but if you have oily skin I would definitely go for that one!
My favourite thing about this cream is the smell believe it or not. I'm not normally one for heavily scented products, especially on my face, but this cream has a sort of zesty orange smell to it. - I like it a lot, but I'm not sure it's a scent that would be to everyone's taste.

The product itself is a fairly heavy, but very luxurious cream. I always feel like it's doing good for my skin  instead of clogging my pores when I apply it, and the moisturizing effects are really visible in the morning - My skin always looks glowing! I suffer from occasional dry patches around my nose and forehead area too, and I really feel like this cream has helped with that a lot. They've been a lot less frequent and less apparent since I started using it, so that's a huge bonus for me.
All in all, this is a really lovely night cream that in my opinion is well worth the money, although I think I'll be switching to an anti aging one once I run out. You can never start too soon can you?
